HANCEVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Authorities in Cullman County are investigating reports that a black man found racist graffiti on the side of his home in Hanceville.
Lamar Jones said he walked outside Thursday morning to find the words "Black is Death" painted on the side of his house.
Jones said he doesn't know who is responsible.
Jones moved to Alabama from South Dakota, and he said he has never experienced anything like that before.
Cullman County Sheriff's Lt. Jimmy Morrow said authorities are investigating, but they don't have any suspects.
Morrow said the area where Jones and his family lives is quiet, and there haven't
been any similar problems in a long time.
