Ala. inmate linked to mechanic’s death

PRATTVILLE-A Madison County man who escaped from a youth detention facility in Elmore County is facing charges in the slaying of a businessman in Autauga County.

Autauga County Sheriff Herbie Johnson said U.S. Marshals arrested 20-year-old Justin Tyler Hosch on Friday in Scottsboro. Hosch was named a prime suspect in the Oct. 19 slaying of Joe Wilmore. The victim was shot to death at his auto repair shop in Pine Level.

Hosch was discovered missing Oct. 15 from the Frank Lee Youth Center, a minimum security facility. He had been serving a 7 year sentence for a drug conviction out of Madison County.

Johnson said Bosch was placed in the Elmore County Jail under no bond.
