Alabama and Tennessee Heat Advisory for Monday

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - The National Weather Service in
Huntsville has posted a heat advisory for the Tennessee Valley
region.
Forecasters expect temperatures to rise above 100 degrees Monday
in 11 Alabama counties and three counties in southern Tennessee.
A heat advisory is in effect from noon to 8 p.m.
Meteorologists said a record high of 101 degrees was recorded in
Muscle Shoals Sunday. The temperature tied the old record of 101
set in 2006.
Health officials urge people to take special measures to keep
cool, including drinking lots of fluids and staying inside
air-conditioned space.
