MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - An attorney is describing a letter from an inmate who said he witnessed a group of prison guards fatally
beating Farron Barksdale as “disturbing” and “shocking.“
Attorney Jake Watson of Huntsville said, “It goes to what we’ve been saying all along in the open records lawsuit. It’s an important document. That’s a disturbing letter.“
The Oct. 24 letter was sent to Montgomery County Circuit Judge Eugene Reese. He gave the last name of three guards and said there was a fourth.
Barksdale killed two Athens police officers in January 2004 and was three days into serving a life sentence when he was found unconconscious in a cell in August 2007.

oh the poor father killing, husband killing, son killing, community robbing murderer! i hope having the life beat out of his worthless skin does not offend his sensibilities or any of the other bleeding hearts that think he did not get exactly what he deserved!
