MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - An Alabama appeals court has upheld the capital murder conviction and death sentence of Aundra Marshall, accused of killing a husband and wife in Bessemer because of an unpaid drug debt.

The Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals on Friday upheld the conviction of the 35-year-old Marshall.

Court records show the victims, Clarence Kile, 48, and his wife, Allison Kile, 39, were beaten and bound and then burned to death in the trunk of their car on Feb. 6, 2004.

The appeals court Friday also upheld the death sentences of Christopher Anthony Floyd from Houston County and Joseph B. Hooks from Montgomery. The appellate judges sent back the death sentence of Jason Michael Sharp to Madison County Circuit Court, asking that the lower court rewrite its sentencing order.
