The Birmingham Police Department reports that a male suspect has been identified in connection with the second homicide case of 2008.
The crime happened January 3, at 7735 1st Avenue South. The man identified as a suspect is Antonio Reed, 31, of Birmingham. Reed faces a capital murder warrant under no bond. The case involves the murder of Grace Garner, 85. Garner was found on the floor of her house.

At an afternoon news conference police say they were able to solve the case after they got a match on blood samples found at the murder scene and samples taken from a 2003 burglary in the same area.
