Drought Conditions Ease A Little In Alabama

There are fewer drought condition area in Alabama, but two areas remain a concern.
According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, there are no exceptional drought areas in Alabama now, which is the worst condition.
Extreme drought conditions decreased this week from 15% to 13%.
Those areas are in central Alabama and northeast Alabama.
Severe drought conditions were reduced from 49% to 48.5% and overall drought conditions were down from 97% to 84%.
