A judge has ruled that Birmingham City Officials were wrong when they denied the owner of a local gas station licenses to sell alcohol.
According to the judge, Mr. Lee, who owns the Texaco Station on Oporto Madrid Boulevard, can now apply for the licenses.
The debate over the Texaco Station started a year ago when a customer claimed the former owner, Ty Nguyen, assaulted her because he thought she had stolen a bag of ice.
Mr. Lee bought the store after the City Council closed the station following neighborhood protests.
