BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—On Monday, U.S. Attorney Alice Martin announced that Birmingham Mayor Larry Langford along with Lobbyist Al LaPierre and Montgomery Investment Banker William Blount face 101 federal counts of charges that include bribery, fraud,  money laundering, conspiracy and filing false tax returns.

In addition to facing possible prison time if convicted, the U.S. Attorney’s office is also seeking $7.6 million in forfeitures from each defendant named in this case.

I find it strange they would want the same amount $7.8 million from each of them. I mean how do they get those numbers so early on? This is a shake down here! Im no fool, thats just plain as the nose onyour face!
