Layoffs begin at Anniston, Alabama plant

The first of hundreds of layoffs at Anniston, Alabama’s BAE systems begin this week.  5 to 10 employees will be put on layoff status starting Friday.  The layoffs are expected to continue through March of 2009.  BAE does work for the military and the contracts they have been working on are ending.  230 positions are expected to be eliminated.
