Off-Duty Tarrant Police Officer Shoots Robbery Suspect

A suspect is shot during a restaurant robbery in Tarrant.
It happened just after 11 p.m. Tuesday at Walker’s Restaurant on Highway 79 in Tarrant.
Tarrant Police Chief Jesse Sprayberry tells NBC13HD News Craig Fair II, 20, Birmingham, faces three counts of Robbery.
Fair and two other people are accused of walking into the restaurant, and demanding money at gunpoint.
An off-duty Tarrant City police officer was inside the restaurant when the robbery occurred, and when the gunman’s attention was distracted, the officer fired at least one shot, hitting the suspect in the hand and shoulder.
Two suspects ran out, and jumped into a vehicle driven by another person.
Fair remains in the hospital.
No one else was hurt.
