Ozone Threat Forecast

Today’s air quality alert means active children, adults, and people with respiratory diseases should avoid prolonged exercise outside. ADEM predicts ground level ozone could reach unhealthy levels. They warn if breathing becomes difficult, to move inside.

Todays alert covers both Jefferson and Shelby Counties. Residents are being asked to carpool, combine errands into one trip, avoid drive-thru’s and don’t fill your gas tank until after 6p.m.
