Robbery Suspect In Critical Condition After Vehicle Pursuit

A Pinson man remains in critical condition, after leading Jefferson County deputies on a vehicle pursuit.
According to a news release from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a robbery call at the 2300 block of Center Point Road about 11:30 p.m. Thursday.
The suspect robbed a store clerk at knife point, and left in a car.
Deputies spotted the suspect vehicle, and tried to stop him.
The suspect refused to stop, and led deputies on a chase along Bud Holmes Road, until he lost control in a curve.
The vehicle overturned several times and the suspect was ejected.
The suspect is identified as Lance Todd, 30, Pinson.
Todd remains in UAB Hospital, and faces first-degree robbery charges.
