The Birmingham Police Department has identified a suspect in the assault of a two year old child.
In a BPD news release, Jamel Hubbard, 22, Birmingham, is in jail on an attempted murder warrant.
Hubbard is reportedly the biological father of the two year old boy.
At last check, the child was at Children’s Hospital in critical condition.
Hubbard is in the Jefferson County Jail under $750,000 bond.
