Suspect jailed in Birmingham stabbing death

The Birmingham Police Department reports that a man has been identified as a suspect in the city’s 73rd homicide of 2008.
The person facing a murder warrant is Dexter Taylor, 24, of Birmingham.
Taylor is suspected in the death of Malcolm Hurd, 61, of Birmingham.
Hurd was found stabbed to death at a home at 3517 65th Street North Thursday, November 20, 2008.
The suspect is in the Birmingham city jail, awaiting transfer to the Jefferson County Jail.
