Teen Charged in Rash of Home Burglaries in Jefferson County

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Authorities in Jefferson County believe
they have solved a rash of house burglaries with the arrest of a
17-year-old male from Dolomite.

    According to Sheriff’s Lt. Randy Christian, the suspect had a
strange calling card, he would often use the bathroom in the
victims’ house.

    Tenaureous Thomas was arrested late Friday night at a residence
in Fairfield.

    Christian said the teen is a suspect in dozens of residential
break-ins in McCalla, Pleasant Grove, Fairfield and Trussville
areas. Thomas was also charged with attempted murder for shooting
at a homeowner in Pleasant Grove last week.

    He remains in the Jefferson County Jail under a $230,000 bond.
