The trial of a 20-year-old Mississippi man charged with
making an Internet threat through MySpace to
assassinate President Bush has been rescheduled for Jan. 12 in
federal court in Aberdeen.

Neal Allan Thomas of Olive Branch was arrested by the Secret
Service in September for allegedly using another person’s MySpace
account without permission and posting messages threatening to blow
up a fire station and assassinate the president, according to an
affidavit.

Thomas has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Prosecutors say the case was reset for trial because defense
attorneys weren’t given enough time to prepare for this week’s
scheduled trial.
