LEEDS, Ala.—- St. Clair County Coroner Dennis Russell has confirmed 23 year old Emily Milling was strangled.
Friends and family found Milling’s body in the woods on Markeeta Road in Leeds Monday night.
Wednesday authorities announced 27 year old Michael Brandon Kelley is charged with Milling’s murder.
Michael Brandon Kelley is charged with murdering Milling.
Milling’s father Larry Phillips, Leeds Police Chief Ted Cook and the U.S. Marshal Marty Keeley attended a press conference Wednesday announcing charges against Michael Brandon Kelley.
U.S. Marshals arrested Kelley around 2:00 a.m. central time in a Los Angeles County, California Days Inn.
Milling was last seen alive leaving the Central Club near downtown Leeds willingly with another person early Saturday morning.
The Central Club near downtown Leeds is the last location Emily Milling was seen alive.
Police will not say if Kelley is the person with which Milling left the club.
Leeds Police Chief Ted Cook said they are working on extraditing Kelley to the St. Clair County Jail.
