Big changes are ahead for Wachovia.
In an Associated Press report, Wachovia says it lost nearly 9 billion dollars in the second quarter.
The nation’s fourth-largest bank will cut more than 6,300 jobs.
Wachovia’s chairman calls the results “disappointing and unacceptable.”
A Wachovia representative in Birmingham tells NBC13HD News the impact will be minimal in this area.
More details from the Birmingham office will be released later today.
